Mejiro Garden

Mejiro is a bit of a oddity in Tokyo. It feels more like a casual, small town than part of a large city, with a street that reminds me more of the high streets of Stourport or Margate than a street in one of the world's largest cities. It's a short wallk away from Ikebukuro, or an even shorter train ride away.

Though if you do decide to walk, you may find yourself taking a little detour into this small public garden, complete with a small pond, trees, bushes, and a little model pagoda. It's a little treasure that, in comparison to the larger sights of Tokyo, is all the more sweeter for its compact beauty.

Finally here's a full shot of the garden, from the entrance building to the pond, and everything in between, including a shelter, the stone path, and the trees that make up the beauty of this little place. I hope I get the chance to see this place again someday.
