A friend brought up the subject of an artist who refused to paint his wife, due to possibly worries that the work he'd produce, in his eyes, couldn't match the beauty that he saw in her each day. Could be wrong on the reason, but it's the impression I get. I said I had no such worries in that I like to draw for anyone- be they close to me or on the other side of the world.
However, with this piece, I'm beginning to see what that artist meant. My li'l Scouse friend Leanne is one of the cutest people I've come across, but I don't feel this piece does her justice with the colours I chose namely the dark red shadow shades, or perhaps the aqua-green background, or both. Good thing I scanned the line-art in advance, cos I'm not too happy with how this turned out. Nevertheless, I hope Leanne doesn't mind
Materials Used: 4H pencil, fineliner pen, model (Leanne herself one Friday night), markers. Time Taken: Well, the colouring took about half an hour or so. Maybe a little more.
