Finishing off the line-up is Sandstorm protagonist and anti-hero, Kyoden Hayami- done in my monochrome Frank-Miller-esque style (see Moustacy Monochrome) to reflect Hayami's own grim past- the brutal end to his upbringing and his (literal) inner demons that make him the least socialable member of the team. I feel this works in comparison and contrast to the other Sandstorm members; Adikkt's dark amnesia and Damon's own grim future was reflected in pencil shading pieces, and Yumi's warm nature and Solaris' air of womanly charm were reflected in my expressionist (or aiming for an expressionist) colour shading style.
Hayami's supposed to be Japanese, but I don't think he looks as Asian here as he did in my initial effort here, but this piece came together much better...mainly cos this actually got finished without mistakes
Materials Used: 5H, 2H, and HB pencils, mechanical pencil, fibreline pen, red marker pen.
Time Taken: 3 hours approx- half on pencil work, half on marking (illustrating where the black and white spots should go) and colouring.
