As requested by aka Cyndie, this is her OC Jay, a friend of Fiametta, and a bit more of a friend too, but you'll have to wait for Cynd's story to see the twist there. He's also the 2nd male portrait that I've done in a while alongside Ben's Plant Man.
Unlike that portrait, however, I did this piece in black and white, using fineliner pens with ink for a little change, as well as a hark back to my older works. While Jay is supposed to be mixed-race like Fia, I don't think it shows as strongly in Jay here, but he's supposed to take more after his father- Damon/Dave Heat- in looks, so it's probably right that he looks more caucasian. In general, this is how I picture Jay in my head, only with a better hand (I think I positioned it right enough to look like his hand rather than some off-frame person's, though I think I messed up the scale of it).
He was supposed to look more nerdy at first, but Cynd changed her mind, so he looks a little more regular rather than a DnD enthusiast. The facial hair is just a little addition to his persona. It does make him look a bit older than he actually is, but I think he's the kind of guy who'd sport his bumfluff beard just to see how far it would grow out
Nevertheless, I hope is pleased with the results and if not, tough titty
Materials Used: 0.1 fineliner pen, 0.3 fineliner pen, H pencil
Time Taken: 4 hours + approx
I LOVE IT! YOU'RE SO FRIGGIN AWESOME! HURRAY! (Though I would like the hair to be a little more layered and crazier but no matter I guess he looked like he used a hair straightner that day) Thank you Dave!
It can be both...well, it can be both in the UK at any rate
